From the Sixties generations of people have been pleading this case but politicians from around the world have shot them down,hopefully it's not to late ,but I must admit to not being to optimistic.Joni Mitchel was singing about farmers using DTD and being bad for the birds and the bees in the sixties .So there's been people going on about this for a long time now and still no change in the way we live.   We were asked to produce a zine, which I must admit never heard of one before. We had to draw 8 self-portraits in different styles I think number 5 is my fav drawing self-portrait without looking, perhaps where Picasso got his style from .???? For my metamorphosis assignment, I am going to do seed to a tree below is a germination diagram which I found at https://www.scienceabc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Seed-germination.-VectorDesignuas.jpg I am working on making a clay rendition of this process here are some images of trees from seed to tree that I'v been growing so far i'v tried three different things two crumbled when they dried out so this one i'm photographing just in case I bust i t  not finished yet got to do more to the tree and paint it.     well I painted it and made rendition of the tree. Below is a wire tree made from copper wire,it's my first attempt at a wire sculpture.It could have been better but I didn't have enough wire.

 Sunderland University Art Projects We have to say which artists influence us the most the first one for me has to be Van Gogh. Having been to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam and seen his works, everything was so vibrant, and his use of colour was amazing .but for me it was the skull with the cigarette that stands out, it just seems so ahead of his time. Another artist I like is Henry Moore. Henry Moore simplifies the objects he sculpts and breaks the down to the basic shapes almost liquefying them. This leaves them looking very fluid and smooth. Antony Gormly use of size is impressive, he's obviously not intimidated by his works' size. But to be Honest the primary influence on me is from my son and his wife Who are both artists down the south and it was with their encouragement that I came to the University in the first place.
